Here are 4 things to do with Table Salt:
1. De-Ice your doorway in the winter ~ Keep a container of it near the front door. Sprinkle it over the front steps to prevent icy falls.
2. Remove odors from your hands ~ Dip your fingers in salt moistened by vinegar and rub together. Will remove strong smells, such as garlic and other spices.
3. Scrub kitchen grease stains ~ Just sprinkle salt on the stain and wipe with a sponge.
4. Set tie-dye ~ After creating your tie-dyed item, soak it in a mixture of two cups warm water to 1/3 c. salt for 20 minutes so colors won't run in the wash.
One thing NOT to do with table salt ~ Do not clean wine stains with it - salt actually sets the color.
