Tonight, about an hour after Lauryn went to sleep, she woke up crying. Normally when I go in to calm her, she likes to be up with her head resting on my shoulder. She doesn't do the "baby" thing where she rests in my arms. When I went in her room to rock her back to sleep, I had her up with her head on my shoulder and she wiggled herself down into my arms. I LOVE THAT! I MISS THAT! She rarely likes to be held like that anymore so I completely melt when she wiggles down into my arms and I get to hold her that way :)
We had such a nice day yesterday. We didn't do anything special, we just hung out. It was perfect! I made blueberry pancakes for breakfast, Lloyd did some work in the basement, we had cheesy ham and potato soup for dinner, then we played with Lauryn until it was her bath and bed time. There's nothing better than a day spent with my two favorite people...even when we don't do a thing :)
