Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!Saturday 9: Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying
1. When was the last time you cried? It's probably been a couple of months.
2. If you could wake up tomorrow with a new talent, what would it be? An artist! I'm crafty but not artsy :)
3. Who is someone (other than yourself) would you like to go back into your past and talk to and why? My grandma. She passed away when I was a toddler and with everything I've ever heard about her, I would love to have known her!
4. What is your favorite meal eating out? It's a meal I've only had once. On our honeymoon, before the cruise, Lloyd and I went to a restaurant in Galveston, TX called the Saltgrass. We had THE BEST filet mignon ever!!!
5. Do you feel energized or drained by being in a group situation? If the answer is "it depends," on what does it depend? Mostly energized.
6. What word do you use far too frequently? I have a toddler and a somewhat naughty dog, so my word is, "NO!"
7. What’s a word you’ve invented? (alternate question: What needs a word but doesn’t have one yet?) Tinkerbutt :) It's what I called Lauryn when she had a poopy diaper.
8. Pick out one of your favorite songs. Go to Song Facts and tell us about the song's history. Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. It's a favorite because it's what Lloyd and I were dancing to when he first told me he loved me - although he still says it was because he was drunk :P As for the songs history, Clapton wrote this in 1976 while waiting for his girlfriend (and future wife) Pattie to get ready for a night out. They were going to a Buddy Holly tribute that Paul McCartney put together, and Clapton was in the familiar position of waiting while she tried on clothes.
9. What is your absolute favorite piece of furniture you have and why? The rocking chair in Lauryn's room. My mom had it forever and promised it to me when I had a baby. Lauryn and I sit in it every night and read stories before she goes to bed :)
