Hi I'm DJ KathyA! Welcome to Rock 'n Roll Fridays. We are like other memes in that we will ask you thirteen questions each and every Friday. But our little "twist" is that each week we will pick a singer, band, era or category and pick thirteen of their lyrics. Each of our questions will be based on the lyrics. Got it? Great! Let's begin this week's meme!

Today we picked The Cure. The song's lyrics are in bold.

Do you have a certain day of the week for particular meal, such as pizza night or a family night, such as Game night?  Not really.  We've talked about having a family game night when Lauryn gets older but she really doesn't have the patience to sit down long enough to play any games with us right now.

2. LOVECATS “We should have each other to tea huh? We should have each other with cream, Then curl up by the fire And sleep for awhile”
What is your favorite brand of tea (or iced tea)?  Lipton.

3. LETS GO TO BED “Another girl, Another name, Stay alive but stay the same
It's just the same, A stupid game”
Have you ever joined a dating service or used personal ads to find a date?  No.  I think those are great for the people that it's actually worked for though.  I would never have tried them because I would be too skeptical about the whole thing.

4. NEVER ENOUGH “However big I ever feel, It's never enough. Whatever I do to make it real, It's never enough. In any way I try to speak. Never enough”
What is the last project you worked hard on, only to get knocked down with friends /family insults about it?  Hmm, I guess when it took us a year to conceive Lauryn would be the last thing we "worked" hard on and people said some really inconsiderate things about it taking so long to happen.

What’s your best trick?  Using make-up as a stretch mark cure...LOL

When was the last time you felt old or were told by someone else that you were too old to do something? I think tomorrow I'll be feeling pretty old.  I'm turning thirty and while I know there are a lot of people out there who think thirty isn't that bad, it's my scary age so I don't want to hear it :)

7. WHY CANT I BE YOU “Everything you do is irresistable

What would you say to your favorite celebrity if you met them in person?  That's a tough one.  I'd probably be that dork who can't even form words when I ran into one of my favorite celebs.  I'd probably just grin at them like a fool!

What is the nicest thing about sleeping with someone else, or sleeping alone?  It's been over 10 years since I've slept alone and I hope I never go back!  I love having my hubby next to me, cuddling (and even squishing) me.

What do children do that amuses you most?  Right now, Lauryn will come running up to me and hollar, "Ecause AMAZING!!!!" with her arms out.  I'm not sure where she came up with that but it's so funny to see her do it.

10. 10:15 ON A SATURDAY NIGHT “Under the strip light, And I'm sitting

What was the last appliance or household item you fixed?  I don't think I've ever actually fixed any appliances or household items.  I'm not that handy so I leave those things for my hubby to handle.

What was the last thing you said to someone that you wish you could take back?  This will be vague because I don't like to air my or anyone else's dirty laundry but I did recently say something that I'm pretty sure was taken out of context.  It wasn't until much later when I was thinking about it that I realized what I had said might have been taken in a hurtful way.

What is your favorite insect?  Butterflies....they're insects, right?

What era in history would you like to visit for one day?  I know a lot of people my age say the sixties but I think I'd like one day in the fifties.  I'm a pretty simple woman, who stays at home with her child, likes to have dinner on the table when my husband gets home and generally like to take care of all of the household needs.  It would only work for one day though because I'm too liberal and opinionated to stay in that era longer than that!  :)
