Music
I love that Lauryn is getting into music more and more these days. It started a while back with nursery rhymes and different songs Lloyd and I would sing to her at bedtime. Everything from "Twinkle, Twinkle" to Mama Cass and Hank Williams Jr. Lately, when we are in the truck together, she's been picking up pretty much everything she's hears. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Adele, Bruno Mars and all the best new music. I absolutely love running errands and singing our hearts out together. She was singing "Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae while we were on our way home yesterday and I couldn't help but laugh. It was so cute and I didn't realize she knew the words so well! I think she's only heard it once or twice. I also love kicking up the music while cleaning the house. That's something my mom used to do with us, which is why I'm a huge fan of "The Big Chill" soundtrack, and it's something I enjoy doing with Lauryn. Listening to the best new music and cleaning the house is great. You can dance around, sing and get the house clean. It doesn't feel like work that way. Just a lot of fun!
