Weekend In Review

Friday ~ We made it to the campground around 4:30 pm.  We set up and had dinner - burgers on the grill, loaded baked potato salad and super juicy cantaloupe.  After our tummies settled, Lauryn and I went to the pool.  The water was nice and warm but there were too many people so we didn't stay too long.  We went back, sat around the campfire and then I got Lauryn to bed.  Lloyd and I listened to some music, had a couple of drinks and ate s'mores :)

Saturday ~ We got up and had breakfast then got ready to go into town for the fair.  We dropped Cloz'r off at home so we wouldn't have to worry about her eating the camper again.  We walked through the mall first and bought a few things at the craft show.  Lauryn got a Dora apron, a ring (made my a little girl) and a tool set  (Daddy had to get it for her) :)  Then it was off to the fair.  She rode all the kiddie rides and even wanted to go on the Tilt-A-Whirl.  She liked it at first, then got scared and wanted off.  We got them to stop the ride (luckily we were the only ones on it) and as we were getting off, she said, "That was really fun!!"  Silly girl.  We also went to the petting zoo, had caricatures done (that look nothing like us at all!) and then went to pick up Cloz'r and go back to the campground.  Lauryn took a nap and when she got up, we ate dinner and then went swimming again.  It was a lot nicer this time because there weren't as many people there and Lauryn could really move around in the water without running into anyone or have anyone running into her!  We went back, started the campfire and I got Lauryn to bed.  After sitting by the fire for a while, Lloyd and I played some rummey.  He kicked my butt :( 

Sunday ~ Had breakfast - eggs, fried potatoes and onions, bacon and biscuits - then got around.  I was very sleepy so I took a nap and Lloyd took Lauryn and Cloz'r for a walk and to the park.  When the got back, Lloyd went to play in a horseshoe tournament and I got Lauryn down for a nap.  While she was sleeping, I started packing things.  We paid through Monday (we had to because of the holiday) but since we were coming into town for the fireworks, we decided to go home early instead of coming back late, going to bed and leaving Monday morning.  When Lloyd got back, we ate dinner, finished packing up and headed home.  After we all grabbed a quick shower, we headed over to my brother's house to watch the fireworks.  Lauryn was a little scared but she was trying to be strong :) 

Monday ~ We went to the parade today.  Lauryn loved seeing everyone and everything!  She got tons of candy and even though we all froze because it was so chilly and windy, we had fun.  We grabbed McDonald's on the way home and relaxed for the rest of the day.  We had a great weekend!
