New House
In my last post, I mentioned the house we're closing on tomorrow. I haven't talked too much about it because I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to get it. Now that I know everything is ready to close, I'm excited to talk about it! For starters, my favorite thing about it is that it's our "forever home." I've always told Lloyd that I want to find a house that we will live in forever so that when Lauryn and any future kids, can come back when their grown up and say, "This is the house I grew up in." I lived in quite a few houses when I was a kid, which was never a bad thing, but this is what I wanted to try to do for my kids. Now about the house! The outside is brick on the front, which Lloyd and I both love and siding on the rest. When you first walk in, there is a nice living room with big windows and super fluffy carpet. Then you go into the kitchen, which is amazing! Cherry wood cupboards, a beautiful bar, wood floors...it's just gorgeous! Through there goes into the dining room. Another big room with lots of windows and sliders that lead to the deck and back yard. To the left of the kitchen is a hallway that leads to three bedrooms and a full bath. To the right of the kitchen is a half bath and the laundry area. Next to the laundry area is the attached garage and also the finished basement. The family room down there is HUGE! It has a gas fireplace and lots of room for little ones to run around. There another big room down there that will probably serve as my office/craft room. There's another full bath down there with the most amazing stone shower. I can't wait to use that! There's lots of storage space in the room where the furnace and water heater is too. On the outside, the backyard is fenced in and that will make Cloz'r a very happy dog! She'll have free reign of the yard again. Just outside of the fence is a steel building. It's not in the best shape so we're looking at different steel buildings to replace it. Lloyd would love a pole barn but we'll have to see how that will work out. I am so excited about this house!!! I don't know when we'll be able to move in because we have things that need to be finished here and a few things that need to be taken care of there but just knowing it's ours is good enough for me!
