Last night was a pretty big night in the Reed house. Lucas slept for 6 hours in his crib! Which means I got to sleep for 6 hours in my bed and not on the couch! Yay! I've let him sleep in his swing all this time because he wouldn't sleep in the bassinet and, to be honest, I would let him sleep wherever he wanted so I could get some sleep too. I've been trying to get him in his crib for a little while now without much success. Last night though, he fell asleep while nursing so I moved him into his room. He woke right up and I thought for sure he would start crying but he didn't. I turned on his music and left the room. When the music ended I checked on him and was surprised to find he was still awake and not getting fussy. I went to clean up the kitchen and checked on him again when I was done. He was sound asleep so I went to bed too. When I woke up because I heard him crying, I was shocked to see it had been six hours! Let's hope we can keep this up!
Lauryn and I are still doing special projects almost every day and I'm looking into more educational things to do. I'm thinking about getting her a kids microscope. I think she'd have a ton of fun really seeing things close up as she's learning more about them. :)
