Saturday 9

I'm So Excited

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

1. What was the last event or situation that got you really excited?

The wedding of two former co-workers.

2. How old were you when you started working and what was your first job?

I started babysitting when I was pretty young but my first real job was when I was 16 and it was at the local grocery store.  I started out as a bagger, worked in the produce dept., moved on to cashier, helped in the deli, at the service desk and occasionally stocking.

3. Tell us about your grandparents.

My mom's mom passed away when I was a baby and her dad passed when I was about 12 but I didn't get to know him too well.  My dad's mom was never very close with me and I'm getting to know my dad's dad and step-mom more and more :)

4. Do you procrastinate or are you usually on top of situations?

Depends on the situation, I guess.  I try to stay on top of things, like when it's something for my kids, or planning get togethers or parties.

5. What would others say about you?

Probably that I'm nice.  And maybe that I can be quite the smartass :)

6. Do you believe in life on other planets?

I'm not sure.  It's hard to believe that there's no other life forms anywhere but here.

7. When was the last time that you were called too thin?

HA!  Probably before I hit puberty!

8. Do you work out? Have you ever joined a gym and quit almost immediately?

I don't work out but I want to get into a routine.  I once worked a phone job for a gym, calling to offer specials to people, and I got to work out there for free.

9. Do you feel that you utilize all your intelligence in every situation?

Nope!  I'm a smart person but I tend to do things the hard way and then someone, usually my husband, will ask why I didn't do it the easier way and I have to answer with, "Because it didn't occur to me."

  1. Love your blog title! # 9 made me laugh. That's a really good point. I didn't understand the question, but that makes sense. :)

  2. I hate it when I miss out on an easier way when it didn't occur to me.
