Special Projects

Since Lucas was born, I've been trying to find special projects for me and Lauryn to do.  I want her to know that even though Lucas takes a lot of my attention, she is still my girl and will always be as important to me as she was before her brother was born.  Today we painted some magnets for the fridge.  It was a lot of fun!  Sometimes we bake special treats or paint our nails.  Even if it's just having her help me make dinner, I try to find something that she and I can do, just us, every day.  A couple of weekends ago, she went to my moms for a few hours to do a special project and when I went to pick her up, I learned that the special project was to make a pasta necklace for me!  It may not be designer jewelry but it will always be valuable and something I love.
