Today has been semi-productive. After I made breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen, I took a nap...I know, that's not exactly productive! :) Lucas has been waking up a few times during the night and it wears me out. When Lloyd is here on the weekends, I try to catch up a little on my sleep. Anyway, after I got up, I got both of the bathrooms cleaned, got some laundry going and made our bed. I'm taking a coffee break right now but then it's dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping. Sounds like a super fun Saturday, right? :)
I know I've talked about this before, and I haven't exactly made a go of it yet, but I'm still really interested in trying to sell some of the things I make. Mostly it's finding the time to sit down and make stuff that's the problem. It took me three months to make a hat and gloves for my grandma. Three months!!! That's just crazy! Before kids, I could whip up blankets in about a week. Hats and smaller items took hours. Once I do get a supply of items built up, I want to try to make it my own little stay-at-home mom business. Something I love doing and something I can make a little money from. I've been looking at other SAHM's who do similar things and they seem to have it all worked out. Once mom even has so much going on that she's hired friends to make things, using her patterns, and she seems to be doing pretty well with it. She even mentioned having name tags with logos on them because her business has gotten so big. That's not my goal though. I want to be the one making my items. Again, it's all about time. I think I have a few items in particular that I make that will actually sell very well, it's just a matter of getting the time to make them!
It may have taken 3 months but they turned out great! Beautiful job! Thank you,Carielle!
