Weekend In Review
To share your weekend, please visit Jodi at:
Friday ~ I think I'm getting old! Friday was only a few days ago but since it was a long weekend, I'm having a hard time remembering what we did! My mom came over for "Nana Friday" and we had leftover creamy pasta, garlic bread and Caesar salad for dinner. Saturday ~ The kids and I hung out around the house and Lloyd went to Hubbardston for the horseshoe tournament. I got most of the laundry caught up and Lauryn and I made peanut butter cookies with M&M's in them. After dinner, we went for a nice, long walk. We saw Lloyd while we were out and Lauryn decided to go home with him, while Lucas and finished our walk. Lloyd came down with something as he had a high fever when he got home. We took it easy for the rest of the evening. Sunday ~ Lloyd was feeling better, just a little tired still. He mowed the lawn, with Lauryn sleeping on his lap, then went to my moms and mowed her lawn. I made bacon and cheddar stuffed burgers on the grill, tri-color pasta salad and watermelon for dinner. Monday ~ We got up and around and headed to Lloyd's parents. Shortly after we got there, we went to the cemetery for the Memorial Day service. We went back to his parents and I got the kids something to eat before we headed into Hubbardston for the parade. The parade started a little later than planned so we got to watch the little Irish dance group for a while. Both kids loved the parade and Lucas wasn't bothered by all the sirens from the fire trucks at all. Actually, he seemed to be unimpressed! His face seemed to say, "I could make more noise than that!" :) After the parade, Lauryn played on the big, blown up bouncy rooms and slides for a little while. We ran in to my bff and her family which was nice because, even though we didn't get to visit for very long, I feel like it's been ages since I've seen her. It got pretty cold and started to sprinkle so we headed back to Lloyd's parents for a little bit before going home. Lloyd and I both started feeling pretty yucky so we didn't do too much the rest of the evening. Just hung out, talked about what's coming up this week and replacement windows Virginia beach, for the house he and his dad invested in.
