Back On Track....Again

I pretty much crapped out on doing my workouts for a couple of weeks but I'm getting back on track now.  Yesterday, the kids and I went on two walks, Lauryn rode her bike for the first one, and we went just under five miles total.  Today we went for 2.72 miles, just over an hour.  I'm keeping track of what I eat, using an app on my phone, and I'm trying to eat smaller portions.  That's my problem with food.  I eat reasonably healthy but my portions are out of control.  I have a goal, not in numbers for weight, but to look better in a bathing suit.  I'm planning on going on a tubing trip with some friends in August and I want to be in better shape for it.  I know they don't care how I look in a bathing suit, but I do!  I also want to do this in the healthiest way I can.  I worry about giving Lauryn the wrong impression when it comes to weight loss and I want to make sure she knows Mama is doing this to be healthier more than anything.

On a completely unrelated subject.  I've been looking around for deals on carpet.  We need to replace the carpet in all three bedrooms and eventually in the rooms in the basement.  The previous owners left tons of stains and we had them cleaned when we first moved in but none of the stains came out.  I hate walking into a room and seeing stains all over.  The carpet cleaners even gave us a discount because they couldn't believe the stains didn't come out.  The living room carpet is the only carpet in the house that looks great.  We should get that cleaned again soon.  I was trying to find the name of the cleaners we used before and somehow came across carpet cleaners cary nc.  I'm sure they do a great job but the travel cost would be ridiculous!  Ha, ha!  I'm also looking for some curtains for our dining room.  It's a nice room with tons of windows but since it gets the sun almost all day long, it really heats the house.  I'm finding myself turning the air on when I really shouldn't need to.
