Birthday Shopping and Date Night

Lloyd and I decided that we really need to start planning date nights.  We rarely get time alone, and as much as we love spending time with our kids, we need "couple time" too.  This Saturday we're finally going to check out that Bistro 57 in Greenville.  I've heard good things and have wanted to check it out for a while.  We figured since we're actually going to be kid free, it will be a good time to go birthday shopping too.  Lauryn's party is just a couple of weeks away and I don't know when we'll get another kid free chance to get it done.  Lauryn has been adding things to her wish list left and right!  I've explained that just because she puts it on her list, doesn't mean she's going to get it.  I think she understands. :)  She's all over the place with her ideas.  From dolls, computers, coffee mugs (she wants a real one like Mama uses :) ), and every instrument she's ever heard of, to a tv for her room (not going to happen!) and a new play set for the back yard.  That last one really isn't going to happen because she got a new swing set last year.  She saw some ad for playsets Chesapeake va though, and now she thinks she needs one.  I haven't decided what we're going to get her yet, but I can't wait for our dinner out and even shopping together, just Lloyd and me.
