Pumpkins

Yesterday we carved our pumpkins.  I thought Lauryn would like to help clean them out, because she loves getting dirty, but she got one handful of pumpkins guts and decided that part wasn't for her.  :)  After I got all of the pumpkins cleaned out, I waited for her to draw a face on hers and then cut it out.  She thought that was really cool and I thought it was cute how she used her shapes to make the face.  It has one triangle eye, one rectangle eye, a circle nose and a smile.  I used one of those kits to carve my pumpkin because I'm not artistic at all but I was proud of how Lucas's pumpkin turned out.  I tried to make it a baby face.  :)  Lloyd came home and carved his pumpkin to look like a house.  Lauryn was thrilled to see them all lit up.  I let the seeds dry overnight and today I'm going to make ranch pumpkin seeds.

Pumpkins

I really like carving pumpkins :)  Lauryn didn't have a lot of interest in helping but she did pick the dinosaur design.

I also really like baking pumpkin seeds!  I'll post the recipe I used later :)

I can't wait to see Lauryn all dressed up as a girl gnome!  Her daddy collects gnomes so I thought it would be cute for her to be one for Halloween!  I'll have to post pictures of that for sure!

In just a couple of weeks, she's going to be 2!  I'm excited and sad at the same time.  She's growing up so fast!  She goes through clothes like crazy, I think I should invest in a stadiometer just to keep track, and she's learning everything so quickly.  I can't believe she can count to 10 already!  I was just looking through some of her newborn pics and was just amazed at how it doesn't seem like two years ago that I was holding her in my arms and looking into that sweet, newborn face.
