She Brought Us A "Gift"

Let me start off by saying, "ICK!"  Last night, Lloyd went out on the back porch and found that his cat had brought us a "gift."  It was a decapitated rabbit!!! So gross!  I am glad it was him that discovered it and not me!  Why do animals do stuff like that???

I'm feeling much better today.  Yesterday, we didn't end up going to the fair because I was feeling a little yucky and Lauryn wasn't feeling super great either.  She had a little fever and she was very crabby all day....which made Mama crabby too.  I think her teeth were really bothering her.  She is so much happier today :)  We're going to go down and check out the fair this afternoon before we go to Shane and Trisha's for the fireworks.  I want to check out the craft show going on in the mall while we're down there.

Speaking of crafts, I'm almost done with the baby blanket I started for our friends.  The sweet little bundle of joy was born on Thursday and he is adorable!  We'll wait to let them get all settled in and ready for company before we go meet him.  I have about two more rows to do and then the border and I'll be all done!  It's so cute!  I'll post pictures when I'm done.

  3. Bailey leaves us little gifts like that too. A couple weeks ago we got a little mouse on our porch. I pet him and told him thank you before I disposed of it lol.

  5. Cats are so great like that. Brutus killed a Mouse a couple weeks ago and left it in the kitchen. Thankfully I didn't see it lol.

I hope you have fun at the fair. I haven't been to that fair in forever!

  7. Cary~I hadn't been to it ages either...we had fun walking around and playing games. I think it will be even more fun when Lauryn can ride the kiddie rides :)

  8. Jodi~We always had indoor cats when I was growing up so I never had to deal with their "gifts." I'm so close to finishing the blanket...YAY!
