Weird Dreams

I have been having the weirdest dreams lately.  The other night, I had a dream that I got up and went to check on Lauryn and she had multiplied!  The funny part was that it was like it was just one of those things that babies can do :)  I remember saying to Lloyd, "Well, Lauryn multiplied, now we have two of her" like it was no big deal.  Silly.

Over the weekend we lowered the mattress on her bed.  She's starting to pull herself up now so it was time.  Unfortunately, since I'm not very tall, I can hardly reach her!  The crib was a gift from Lloyd's coworkers and it doesn't have a side that goes down like the old cribs do.  So now that the mattress is lowered, I seriously can barely reach her!  It sounds silly but I'm thinking I need to get a step stool.  When I put her to bed, it's not such a big deal because I can sit her up and then help her lay down but last night when she woke up in the middle of the night and I rocked her back to sleep, I had a really hard time reaching over the crib to gently lay her down.

We finally figured out what the mystery plant in our garden was.....a pumpkin!  We thought squash or even a small watermelon (which I was so hoping for) and were told that when the leaves die, it's time to pick it.  So I went out and the leaves were looking pretty bad, so I brought it in and when I cut it open to find out, it was a pumpkin!  It hadn't turned orange yet but it had the right seeds and that unmistakable pumpkin smell.  Unfortunately since it wasn't totally ripe, there wasn't anything I could do with it but it was nice to know what the heck it was.  Everyone was guessing LOL

  1. Ya hitting the booze at night to make you dream? LOL. I was gonna say get a ladder. But step stool sounds better. LOL. oh and weren't you suppose to leave the pumpkin on there till the leaves died and just not looked bad? Maybe it would have been ripe by then. Sounds like ya pulled a Charlie Brown. LOL

  2. I have times where my dreams are crazy too.
That stinks that the rail doesn't go down. Using a stool might actually help =)

Thats too bad the pumpkin didn't grow orange. That would have been cool to have.

  3. Thom~We didn't know what it was that was growing...the woman who planted the mystery plant in my garden said she thought it was squash and to pull it when the leaves went bad, so that what we did...remember, this is my first time gardening and I have killed a Chia herb garden before :)
