Friday ~ Spent the morning and early afternoon cleaning. Mom came over for dinner and a visit. We had Caribbean jerk marinated chicken breast and corn on the cob on the grill and mom brought a yummy bacon/ranch salad. Strawberry shortcake for dessert :) Lloyd went to my brother's to play washers and hang out for a bit and ended up getting burned while trying to help start the bonfire. Word to the wise, if you use gasoline on your fire, make sure everyone knows or don't try to start someone else's fire!
Saturday ~ Shopping plans fell through so we had a lazy day around the house. Ordered Chinese for dinner, Lauryn's idea :), then went shopping by myself in the evening. I got a few shirts, a new hair brush and some hair dye. While I was out, I talked to a salesman about POS systems, something I think may come in handy in the future.
Sunday ~ We had the Malek family reunion in Sumner yesterday. The park was really nice! There was great food, as always, and Lauryn really loved running around the playground and playing with her cousins. Lloyd's cousin surprised everyone by having an ice cream truck come. Free ice cream for everyone! It was a really great surprise! After we got back home, I cleaned up a few things, got Lauryn ready for bed and then Lloyd and I vegged out until bed time :)
Sounds like a fun weekend!! Free ice cream is always a bonus on a hot summer day!!
