Friday ~ The first part of the day was spent cleaning and doing stuff around the house.  In the afternoon, I dropped Lucas off at my friends house so I could take Lauryn to the dentist.  She had to get three teeth pulled.  She did an amazing job and never even shed a tear!  She's such a big girl!  We went back to get Lucas, visited for a few, stopped to pick up a few groceries and then headed back home.  Lloyd was able to get home earlier than normal and decided to treat us to Chinese, since it's one of Lauryn's favorites and it was a soft food for her. :)
Saturday ~ The kids played with their friend from next door and I did a little laundry.  My mom came over in the evening so Lloyd and I could have date night.  We started with dinner at Bistro 57.  Lloyd wasn't super impressed but I thought it was good.  Since there was some time before our movie, we went for a stroll.  While walking on the path, a kid dressed as Gumby went flying by on his bike.  It was hilarious!  We stopped in at Applebee's for a drink and then headed to the movie theater.  We saw "Sex Tape."  It was definitely corny but had some really funny parts that had us both busting up.  We were home a little before midnight and relaxed for the rest of the evening.

Sunday ~ The day started of pretty lazy.  Lloyd made breakfast and I cleaned up the kitchen but after that we just chilled out and watched cartoons with the kids.  We went outside later and practiced hitting the ball.  Lloyd set up the sprinkler for the kids and then they drove their cars around the yard.  I made a yummy strawberry sangria and we had hot dogs (they did anyway), corn on the cob, baby red potatoes and fresh green beans sautéed in olive oil with garlic.  All in all it was a pretty great weekend! :)

Friday ~ Spent the early part of the day cleaning and doing things around the house, then in the afternoon we went to our friends' sons' open house.  It was raining lightly and there were a couple of puddles and while I normally wouldn't let the kids play in the puddles when we were at a get together but other kids were doing it and I figured it was let them or spend the whole time trying to keep them away from it.  That didn't seem like a great plan so I let them have at it.  They had a great time and they got to play with their cousins.  It was a nice open house with really yummy food.  When we got back home, we got the kids in the tub, there clothes in the laundry and got Lauryn ready to go for her sleepover at my mom's house.

Saturday ~ Since Lauryn was still gone and Lloyd had an appointment, Lucas and I ran a couple of errands and had a lunch date.  We went to Applebee's for lunch and had a really nice time.  Our waitress even thanked us for being a pleasant table for her and said how great it was that Lucas was so polite.  That made this Mama's heart swell with pride!  We came home, watched some tv, played some games and when my mom brought Lauryn back, we all had dinner together.

Sunday ~ I spent some time in the house cleaning and doing laundry (both never-ending tasks!) while Lloyd and the kids were outside doing yard work.  We had a delicious dinner with NY Strips and baked potatoes on the grill and very sweet corn on the cob.  After dinner Lloyd set up the slip 'n' slide and the kids had a blast.  Lloyd and I even did it and had fun playing as a family.  It was a truly great weekend and a great start to the summer!

Friday ~ Happy Birthday, Lucas Elijah!  Today my baby boy is 2 years old!  We started the day with Lucas opening his presents.  After Lloyd went to work, we got ready and then met Cary and Abri at Silk City Saloon for lunch.  We all came back here and had such a nice visit.  There's something so special about hearing Lauryn and Abri giggling together, like Cary and I have done for years!  After our visit, the kids and I went to Greenville to get everything we needed for Lucas's party on Saturday.  The rest of the night was spent cleaning and preparing food.

Saturday ~ We spent the morning and early afternoon getting the yard and house ready for the party.  We had such a great time!  Our friend, Jessica, brought her bounce house and the kids loved jumping around in between games and food. :)  Our family and friends made Lucas's birthday so special and so much fun!  We are so thankful to have such awesome people in our lives!

Sunday ~ We had a completely lazy day!  Lloyd showed a house, the kids and I ran a couple of errands, and the rest of the day was spent hanging out and playing.  After dinner, Lauryn was eating an ice cream cone when her first tooth finally fell out!  She was so excited she kept doing little happy dances around the house (she is SO my child!).  After the kids went to bed, Lloyd and I watched a couple of episodes of "Orange is the New Black."  It was a fantastic weekend, spent with amazing people!

It finally came out!

Friday ~ After I picked Lauryn up from school, we ran a couple of errands and then hung out at home for the rest of the afternoon.  The kids played while I did a little cleaning.  We had French bread pizza and pasta salad with veggies for dinner.

Saturday ~ Date night!!!  My mom came over in the evening to watch the kids while Lloyd and I headed out for date night.  And nothing says "Old Married Couple" quite like starting out date night by getting a couple of weeks worth of groceries...LOL  After getting our groceries, we headed off to dinner.  Applebee's and Bistro 57 were extremely busy so we came back into town and had dinner at Candlestone.  We went to the bowling alley afterwards and had a ton of fun.  We bowled eight games!

Sunday ~ Both Lloyd and I were whooped from the night before and we both got around pretty slowly.  We headed to his parents house to celebrate his Moms birthday.  We ordered pizza and breadsticks and I made a cake.  Lauryn picked out the flavors of the cake and it turned out delicious!  Fudge cake with white chocolate-raspberry frosting.  YUM!  We had a really nice visit then headed home to relax a bit before getting the kids to bed.

Friday ~ Another snow day for Lauryn so we stayed home, played games and I made a fun little lunch complete with carrot flowers and pb and j's in the shape stars.  We use my fancy dishes to eat, just to make it a little more special.  The kids got to play with their new kitchenette I put together the night before and they were making me tons of "meals."  Lloyd came home a little bit early, because I was hearing how terrible the roads were and I was getting nervous about his drive.    We had leftover chili and rice for dinner and I made honey corn bread to go with it.

Saturday ~ I did some laundry and a little cleaning while Lloyd did some work outside.  My mom came over in the evening so we could go out on our date night.  We started with a quick trip to Meijer, then went to Applebee's for a drink, then off to my friend Kathy's house for her princess birthday party.  We had such great time!  Lots of silly conversations and lots of great food.

Sunday ~ I didn't get much sleep because Lucas got up super early.  Shortly after Lloyd got up, I went back down for a nap.  Later, Lauryn and I ran a few errands, to pick up a few groceries and new winter coats for the kids.  Lloyd got the hardware up for our new curtains in the dining room and we put them up just before dinner.  We had crescent chicken with side salads for dinner.  Lauryn made the salads and she did a great job!  We spent the rest of the evening out together and watching a few "Sunday shows."

Friday ~ Lauryn's school was closed so we just hung around the house all day, cleaning and doing crafts.  Mom came over for "Nana Friday," we have beefy crunch burritos and a great visit.  The kids and I danced around the kitchen, I even broke out into the "Carlton."

Saturday ~ Lloyd and I got up, got ready, and headed to Alma to say our final goodbyes to Lloyd's Uncle Larry.  He was a great man and we be missed very much.  After the funeral, we drove back home and I cleaned up a little and got ready for the "Moms Sleepover."  Cary and Jodi got here and I'm pretty sure the kids were as excited to see them as I was!  We had pizza and breadsticks for dinner and a cheesecake with caramel sauce for Cary's birthday.  After the kids were in bed, the Mama sleepover began!  We had snacks and drinks, we went the whole nine yards with facials (cleansing, exfoliating, masks, toning and moisturizing), we did pedicures and manicures.  There was lots of giggles and lots of fun!  We went to bed around 3 am.

Sunday ~ Lucas got up around 6:30.  I took him into our room, in hopes of letting the girls get a little more sleep, but was afraid he was going to wake Lloyd up.  After a little while we went back into his room and he played while I cleaned out his closet and drawers.  Once everyone was up, I made breakfast.  We had scrambled eggs, pancakes, fried potatoes, smoky links, banana bread and cantaloupe. Cary and Jodi headed out and I cleaned up the kitchen.  It was nap time, for me and Lucas, after that.  :)  The rest of the day was spent with all of us being a little lazy.

Friday ~ It was a pretty uneventful day.  Mostly spent playing with the kids and cleaning.

Saturday ~ After getting breakfast taken care of, I got some food prepped for our family Christmas party.  Mom came over and then we went to pick up my brother, Jayson.  Shortly after we got back, we ate.  We had ham and cheese sliders, veggies and dip, cheese, crackers and dip, chips, and pickle wraps.  After everything was cleaned up, we went out to the living room and opened presents.  It was such a nice evening.  Both kids were so excited to have their Uncle come stay.  Lucas was hollering "JAY!" over and over.  :)  We snacked on some Christmas sweets while catching up in the evening.

Sunday ~ Shortly after getting up with Lucas, I got ready and then started making breakfast.  Kathye, Terry and Ann were going to come eat with us and visit with Jayson before I took him home.  We had cinnamon French toast, scrambled eggs with sharp cheddar cheese, fried potatoes, bacon, cantaloupe, coffee and orange juice.  The food turned out pretty good and the company was great!  I took Jayson home in the afternoon and we were all pretty lazy for the rest of the day.  We had leftover ham and cheese sliders for dinner and spent the evening playing with the kids and their new toys.

Thursday ~ We got ready and headed to Lloyd's parents house to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family.  This year had the biggest turn out, since I joined the family, with a whopping 91 people, by the last head count.  The food was great, and we had a ton of fun visiting and catching up with everyone.  Unfortunately, we had to make our first trip to the ER with Lucas that night, but, thank God, he is ok!  It was very scary, but my little boy is a trooper.  When we got home, we got the kids in bed and tried to relax.  After such an eventful evening, it was a little hard to do.

Friday ~ We took it easy for most of the day.  Lloyd stayed home and did some work in the yard and I cleaned the house.  I ordered pizza and breadsticks for dinner and Kathye came over for a visit.  :)

Saturday ~ I spent most of the day cleaning, because my children can be quite messy, and then Mom came over for our Thanksgiving.  We had garlic and herb baked chicken (Lloyd said it was the best I'd ever made!), mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn, cranberry sauce and rolls.  I made a triple layer pumpkin pudding pie but we were all too full to try any.  Before dinner, we went around the table and said what we were thankful for.  I am thankful for my husband.  He loves me and treats me better than I ever thought I deserved.  He is an amazing father to our children and he works hard so we'll never have to go without.  I am thankful for our children.  I'm thankful that they are healthy, happy and have taught me the meaning of being truly selfless.  I am also eternally thankful for my mom.  She has always been there for me.  Whenever I need to talk, or break down and cry, she's there.  Whenever something great happens, she the person I think to call.  I am thankful for so many family and friends who love me and my family and who will always be there for us, just as we will be there for them.  We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by so many awesome people.

Sunday ~ We got up, got ready and headed to Hubbardston for the Malek Christmas party.  It was great to see the family, to visit, eat a delicious meal and to get into to family auction.  I bought a handmade snowman decoration for the yard.  We all got nice gifts and were thoroughly worn out by the time we got home.

Friday ~ Since my mom was coming over to watch the kids on Saturday, we didn't have "Nana Friday."  Instead, my friend Kathy came over for a visit and to stay for dinner, so it was "Kathy Friday." :)  It was a Tastefully Simple day, as we had their Bacon Bacon dip with crackers for a snack, then for dinner, we had roast in the crock pot, covered in their Irish Stout Slow Cooker Sauce, and their Beer Bread.

Saturday ~ Lauryn worked outside with Lloyd and I did a couple loads of laundry, while trying to keep up with Lucas.  My mom came over in the evening and Lloyd and I headed out on date night.  He had wanted to get me clothes for my birthday, since mine are all stained or have holes in them, but we hadn't been able to before then so we went shopping before we went to dinner.  We went to Kohl's first and I got two pair of pants, a couple of sweaters, and other dressy tops.  We went to Burlington Coat Factory after that and Lloyd picked up some under shirts and slippers, and I got a few more tops, a coat, and some cute knee-high boots.  I'm not big on clothes shopping so it was great to get some cute outfits, almost everything on sale, and didn't take that long.  We went to Golden Corral for dinner and every thing was delicious!  We stopped in at Candlestone on the way home and met a really nice older lady.  It turned out that Lloyd knew people she was related to, and she knew people I was related to.

Sunday ~ Lloyd and Lucas stayed home while Lauryn and I went to her best (school) friend's birthday party in Sheridan.  We had so much fun and Collin's family was very nice.  They had a bouncy house, played pin the nose on the lion, and had a piñata.  We stopped by Leppinks on the way home, and then came home and I made dinner.  It was a great weekend!

*On a completely unrelated note, to the person who can't be bothered to say "hi" to me in public, don't bother saying "hi" to my husband either.  Because of our ongoing "situation," which he's not happy with either, it makes him uncomfortable.  Thanks.*
