Cleaning Question

We have hard water here.  I absolutely hate it!  Not only does it dry out my skin but it leaves stains in the tub and around the kitchen faucet.  I have used Comet, CLR, etc., and have yet to find anything that completely gets rid of the problem.  I hate seeing it because it makes me feel like my house isn't clean, even when I've put a lot of time and effort into trying to get rid of these stains.  I'm open to all ideas and suggestions at this point, if anyone would like to share any :)
