Weekend In Review

We had a long weekend here so I'm starting on Thursday :)

Thursday ~ Lloyd left early in the morning to go on his annual snowmobiling trip with the guys in his family.  Lauryn and I ran to the store to pick up a few things then came home and I cleaned while she napped.  My good friend, Kathy, came over for dinner.  I made breaded, baked chicken breast tenders, linguine oil and garlic and green beans in cheese sauce.  It turned out pretty yummy!  I had a really nice visit with Kathy but by the end of the evening, I could feel that I was catching Lauryn's cold :(

Friday ~ Woke up feeling yucky!  We didn't do a whole lot during the day and mom came over for dinner and a visit and dinner.  Since I wasn't feeling well, I kept it simple with a Freschetta naturally rising crust, frozen pizza.  I'm not a huge fan of frozen pizza but that one is really tasty!

Saturday ~ Still not feeling the best but we got around, mom came over and we went to Grand Rapids for a couple of hours.  We went to Michael's and I was so happy to go and get a few things I've been wanting to get for a couple different crafts.  I LOVE THAT STORE!!!  Then we went to Target and I got Lauryn a cool mist humidifier that shaped like a penguin.  We were supposed to go to Golden Corral for dinner but since Lauryn and I were not in the best shape, we came home and ordered Chinese for dinner instead.

Sunday ~ We woke up happy because even though we weren't feeling well, we knew that Lloyd was coming home!  I washed all bedding, baked his favorite cake, baked meatballs for the sweet and sour meatballs and rice for dinner, did a little light cleaning and Lauryn and I watched "Harry and the Hendersons."  I still love that movie!  Lloyd came home in the afternoon and it was so good to have him here!  We missed him so much!
