Weekend In Review

Friday ~ Lauryn and I ran to Two Seasons, to get a few more plants for the garden, then to the store to pick up a few things for dinner.  I made cake balls and pasta salad and then waited for mom to come over.  When she got here, Lauryn told her she had birthday surprised sitting on the table.  We had a card a flowers for her :)  We had sloppy joes, pasta salad and chips for dinner.  I ran to the store and picked up a couple more birthday surprises for mom then we sang "Happy Birthday" to her and she blew out the candles on her cake balls.  The rest of the evening was pretty mellow.

Saturday ~ I did not feel well most of the day :(  I had been up on and off during the night with an upset stomach.  Blech!  Lloyd made pancakes, fried potatoes and ham for breakfast and I cleaned up the kitchen.  Lauryn and I rested while Lloyd did some work in the yard.  Later, we had pizza and pasta salad for dinner.  We decided to have a fire in the backyard, to get Lauryn used to it when we go camping, and I ran to the store and picked up a few things for s'mores.  Lauryn didn't care for them as much as I thought she would.  After a while, I got her to bed and then Lloyd and I sat by the fire and talked for a while.

Sunday ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!!  We had a pretty lazy morning.  Lloyd was making breakfast again but I wasn't feeling well so I laid down.  I couldn't get comfortable so I got back up.  I made some Ramen noodles and read my book for a while.  In the afternoon, I got Lauryn and myself around and we ran to Meijer to pick up a few things.  I got two hobo pie makers, some steak, corn and watermelon for dinner, a couple of shirts and some Father's Day surprises for Lloyd.  When we got back, Lauryn took a nap, Lloyd watched sports and I read my book.  Dinner turned out great!  I'm getting really good at steaks on the grill!  I gave Lauryn a bath after I cleaned the kitchen and the rest of the night was spent chilling and watching tv.
