Friday ~ Busy, busy day! We had Willow all day and I had to get the camper ready to go camping. The girls "helped" which basically means they were in the camper with me, running around and tripping me while I was packing things. :) I got the majority of it done during nap time. We got to the campground, set up and made dinner. We had burgers and veggies on the grill and macaroni salad.
Saturday ~ We had pancakes, fried potatoes and bacon for breakfast then we got ready for the day. At 1 pm, Lauryn and I had a date with a horse named Flare. It was only the second time I'd ever been horseback riding and it was the first for Lauryn. I was terrified on the first hill we went down. I was afraid of squishing Lauryn or that we'd tumble down off the horse. Flare was great though. He was used to double riders and he took his time. We went through trails and crossed through the river twice. We had so much fun! My legs are still sore though! :) When we were done, we went back and got dinner ready. We had yummy del monico steaks and corn on the cob on the grill. A little while after dinner, we got ready to go swimming. As I was stepping out of the camper, I took a not so awesome spill down the steps. I'm bruised and still sore from that too! The pool was so warm and we didn't want to get out! When we got back, Lloyd got the fire going and we ended the evening with good tunes and s'mores!
Sunday ~ When Lauryn woke up, we noticed she'd been bit by something in the night. She had a few bites on her cheek, forehead and by her eye. After breakfast, we packed up and headed home. Lloyd and Lauryn got ready and headed out to a family reunion and I stayed home to rest up and get ready to meet the little girl I'll be watching for a couple of weeks. When Lloyd and Lauryn got back, I noticed her eye was starting to swell. Poor girl! It wasn't bothering her though. We all relaxed and watched a little tv in the evening.
