Easter

Easter is right around the corner and this year, I've decided not to go all out on Lauryn's Easter dress.  I always make sure she has an adorable dress, a pretty little sweater, dress shoes, etc. and every year I regret it.  Between eating, the egg hunt and playing in the yard with her cousins, her outfit always ends up a big, stained mess.  It's just not worth it to spend the money on an outfit that stays cute for an hour before we get to her grandparents house.

I've also decided that I'm not going to go all out on her Easter basket this year.  I feel bad saying that but between what she gets from us, my mom, Lloyd's parents and the Easter egg hunt, she gets a ridiculous amount of candy.  We still have a bucket of candy from Halloween in our cupboard!  I let her have sweets but she gets so much and I'd rather have those sweets be a special treat and not an everyday thing or give them to her just to get them used up.  I got some great ideas at GiftBaskets.com for Easter gift baskets and I think I'm going to go the route of all useful stuff for her this time.  She'll be getting plenty of sweets from everyone else and I still want to do a basket for her so thats the route I'm going to go.
