Weekend In Review

 Friday ~ Lauryn and I ran a few errands early in the afternoon and then mom came over for dinner and a visit after she got out of work.  We had burgers on the grill and macaroni salad for dinner.  There was strawberry shortcake for dinner but every one was too full to eat it. Saturday ~ Lloyd had an appointment in the morning and Lauryn and I played a couple of games on the Wii.  She's started to get it figured out.  :)  After Lloyd got back, I took a nap while he and Lauryn worked on the yard.  When I got up, I got to cleaning.  Our friends, Jeff and Teresa, stopped by for a little while, we had dinner and then it was time to paint the Easter eggs.  It was messy but fun!  After Lauryn had a bath and was in bed, Lloyd helped me find the plastic eggs to fill and we got them all ready.  The rest of the night was spent relaxing.  Sunday ~ I didn't sleep well and was up quite early.  I just started dozing on the couch when Lloyd got up so I got back up too.  We hid all of the eggs and Lauryn's Easter basket and then waited for her to get up.  We waited and waited and finally went and woke her up.  :)  We had a ton of fun helping her find all of her eggs and her basket.  She was so excited!  We all got ready and headed to Lloyd's parents for Easter dinner and the big egg hunt.  Dinner was delicious, as always, and everyone was stuffed!  Shortly after dinner it was time for the big egg hunt.  All the kids were so excited and ready to grab those eggs!  Lauryn got quite a few and when she opened them all, she found that two of them had tags in them.  That meant she got to take the tags up to the woman who organized it all and get what prizes were on the tags.  She got a whistle and an Easter basket full of goodies!  We visited with the family for the rest of the afternoon.  My father-in-law had a surprise tulip plant for me.  I've never had tulips in my gardens and these ones are beautiful!  They're pink and I can't wait to get them planted!  We had a really nice Easter Sunday :)
