The Drama

I may have jumped the gun on thinking we were all adjusting so well with a new baby in the house.  Lauryn handled everything so well the first week Lucas was home but since then, she's definitely showed some jealousy, had a few set backs with the potty training and she's been very dramatic.  Lloyd and I have been trying to be as patient as we can be, because we know this was a huge change for her, but she really tests us.  She loves her baby brother and helps as much as she can with him and when she wants to put her dolls in his crib or swing, I let her because I don't want her to feel that everything is all about Lucas.  Today she decided it wasn't enough to let her baby sit in the swing though and I caught her climbing into it.  I hollered at her  to get out and then tried to explain to her that the swing isn't meant to hold big girls, just little babies.  Just like her swing set isn't for little babies, just for big kids.  I tried to be prepared for this and I'm trying to handle it calmly but it's been very trying.
