The other day I saw a commercial about credit cards for teenagers. WHAT?! That sounds crazy to me! I think learning about credit at home and in school is a great idea so kids won't get into major debt when they go out on their own but giving a credit card to a teenager just sounds like trouble! Lloyd has already talked with Lauryn about them and if you ask her what a credit card is, she'll respond with, "Credit cards are EVIL!" :)

Preschool
Yesterday was Lauryn's first day of preschool. For weeks, I told myself (and everyone else) that I was excited about it and that I wasn't feeling upset at all. I knew she was ready and that she'd do just fine. Boy was I foolish! Before she was even out of bed, I was feeling emotional, when she was sitting on the couch drinking her juice, I was in the other room with Lloyd, crying my eyes out and then after we dropped her off, I fell apart in the truck on the way home. What a sap! She did great though! When we got there, she went right into her classroom, met her teacher and was ready to play. We had to tell her to come give us hugs before we left. When I went back to pick her up, she was excited to see me and told me all about her day. We went and got a special "first day" happy meal for lunch and then she talked with Grandma, Daddy, Nana and Aunt Trisha and told them about her day.
Today was day 2 and she was just as excited as she was yesterday. This time, Lloyd dropped her off and then I picked her up in the afternoon. She had another great day. She told me about singing songs, using safety scizzors and glue and about the friends she'd made. I'm so proud of my girl for being so excited about school.
