Friday ~ Lloyd stayed home and we spent most of the day doing things around the house. He and Lauryn worked on things around the yard while I took care of the inside of the house. In the evening, Lauryn and I went to Nikki and Willow's and then we all walked down to the see the twilight parade. This was the first year I've seen it and it was pretty cool! Definitely something I'd like to do again next year! Saturday ~ I finished cleaning the house and got the food ready for our get together. Shane, Trisha, Emma, Jr., Jayson and Mom came over. We did a taco bar, with beef and shredded chicken tacos, guacamole and Trisha's salsa. Mom made a yummy cherry crisp for dessert. It was a beautiful day so we spent the majority of it outside, visiting and playing a bean bag toss bag that Shane brought. We ended the evening by sitting around the fire. Sunday ~ We went to Shane and Trisha's and we all walked down to the fair. Lauryn and Emma went on some rides together and had lots of fun! Lauryn was a little more brave this year and she went on the tilt-a-whirl and the ferris wheel with Lloyd. Later, we walked around the craft show and Lauryn got a glitter star tattoo. After going on a few more rides, we went home for a bit to let Cloz'r out and then headed back to Shane and Trisha's. We had drunk chicken, bbq chicken wings, loaded baked potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs and a cake that my mom made that had marshmallow fluff in the middle and cotton candy frosting. When it got dark out, Shane got the bon fire started and we watched the fireworks. Monday ~ We got up, got ready and headed down town for the parade. It was very hot and sunny but the parade was fun and we all had a good time. Lauryn got lots of candy! We visited with Shane, Trisha, Jayson and the kids for a little bit and then headed home. The rest of the day was spent resting! We had leftover tacos for dinner, relaxed and got everything ready for Lauryn's first day of preschool :)
