Weekend In Review
To share your weekend, please visit Jodi at:
Friday ~ Tried going for a walk in the morning but didn't get very far because Lauryn wasn't up for it. We came back, I tried to my workout but Lucas wasn't up for letting me do that either :P After lunch, we ran a couple of errands and then mom came over for dinner and a visit. We had French bread pizza, Caesar salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert. After mom left and the kids were in bed, I went for a nice long walk, just under three miles. Saturday ~ I planned on spending the day catching up on cleaning but ended up playing outside with Lloyd and the kids all day :) That was a much more fun way to spend the day! I even did a couple of cartwheels for Lauryn...and didn't hurt myself! :) Time got away from me and I was going to throw some things together for dinner but Lloyd suggested we order Chinese instead. The rest of the evening was spent watching a movie and doing a little reading. Sunday ~ I got up and got ready then picked up mom and we headed to Grand Rapids. Her birthday gift this year was to go out to lunch and to the Titanic Exhibit at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, just her and I. We went to Golden Corral for lunch. It was the first time either of us had been there and we both loved it! We had a silly waiter who sang the whole time. He swing by to pick up our empty plates and would sing, "Just taking these plates away." It definitely made lunch a little more interesting. Then we headed to the museum. We got there early so we walked around and looked at every else until it was time to see the exhibit. It was amazing to see things that had been sitting on the bottom of the ocean for so long. They had pictures of the artifacts as the had been found on the ocean floor and then the real thing sitting in front of us, under glass. Even though you know the numbers, of how many were saved and how many died, it was sad to see all the names on the board in front of me. On the way back home, mom and I stopped in to Burger King and she treated us to mocha frappes. When I got home, the kids were playing in their new pool, having a great time. I whipped up dinner, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and veggies with dip, and then we relaxed for the rest of the evening.
