Feeling Blessed

I am such a fortunate girl!  I had the best day yesterday and it's because I have such an awesome family who loves me.  My day started off with getting up early with Lucas and snuggling on the couch.  As soon as Lauryn woke up, she ran right up to me, told me Happy Birthday, and gave me a huge hug.  Shortly after Lloyd got up, Lauryn asked him if they could give me my birthday gift.  We usually wait until the evening, when there's more time, but she didn't want to wait.  So I went and sat in the living room with Lucas while they went into her room to get my surprise.  They came out singing "Happy Birthday" and handed me a mylar balloon (Lauryn insisted I have one), cards and a gift.  The kids got me a duck card that quacks the birthday song. :)  Lloyd had to go to work early so Lucas and I took Lauryn to school.  After we dropped her off, we went through the drive-thru at Burger King and picked up some breakfast to share.  We both got a very good nap, which I was thankful for because I'd been up a lot with Lucas and Cloz'r the night before, then we ate lunch and played until it was time to pick Lauryn up.  As soon as we got home, Lauryn wanted to snuggle for a bit, and she kept asking if I was having a good day.  She wanted to make sure I was having a great birthday. :)  Lloyd got home earlier than usual and we had ham, au' gratin potatoes and corn for dinner.  A little while later, Lauryn asked me to stay in the living room and she went and shut all of the lights off.  Lloyd had picked up a cake and candles, which I knew about, but she wanted to "surprise" me by having me close my eyes and bringing me out to the kitchen.  They sang again, I made a wish, and blew out the candles.  My whole day felt special because my family cares so much and wanted me to have a great day.  I don't know how I got so lucky, but I'm grateful to have them.  They are my everything!
