It's Going To Be A Good Day

In a little bit the kids and I are going for a walk.  It's a nice cool morning and I'm glad we're getting back into the swing of things.  After not going for about three weeks, because a sweltering heat and then letting my tattoo heal, I'm getting my motivation back.  After we get back, it's off to the store to pick up a few things and when we get back home, there's lots of cleaning to be done.  Kathy is coming over to spend the day with us and I'm so excited!  I miss our visits and girl time!  I hope I can get everything done before she gets here, but if I don't, I know she won't mind.  :)  I'm making breakfast for dinner tonight.  Pancakes, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs and smoky links.  Yum!  Time to get this show on the road!

Waiting...

Last weekend I ordered a sit and stand double stroller.  It was supposed to be delivered today but I got a message on Monday saying it was on back order and if they couldn't get it out within 1o days, they'd cancel the order.  I was really disappointed!  I decided to wait it out instead of cancelling the order, hoping it wouldn't take too long and they wouldn't have to cancel.  I got a message this morning saying it was on it's way!  It should be here by Wednesday and I'm excited because that means I can go on really long walks with the kids and not have to worry about Lauryn getting tired.  She's excited too!  I showed her a picture of it and she thought it was cool that she'd be able to sit or stand on it.  Until I get it, we're going on shorter walks and I started using the elliptical machine today.

Getting Back Into It

The last two weeks, I totally dropped the ball on my morning walks.  I couldn't sleep which meant staying up way too late to get up at 5 am!  Yesterday and today I got back into it and it feels great!  It was nice last night to to actually feel tired just after 10 pm.  The only downside to doing this is I've been working up a sweat and I think it's making my skin break out.  I use astringent and toner before my shower but it doesn't seem to be working.  Time to look into different acne products.

I can't wait to get my truck back!  I miss it :(  Hopefully either tonight or tomorrow we'll finally here just what's wrong with it and when we'll be getting it back!

As much as I don't like this  hot weather, I'm loving what it's doing for my garden!  I've already picked tons of cucumbers and I've noticed about a dozen or more cantaloupe growing!  Lauryn and I love melons!!!  I can't wait until those are ripe and ready to eat!

A Day of Catching Up

So far today, I have cleaned out the fridge, done the dishes, swept, dusted, vacuumed, changed the kitty litter, gathered up any garbage (it goes out tonight) and finished the laundry.  I still have to give the bathroom a good once over and then my house will be looking good.  It's amazing how much harder it's gotten to keep the house up with a seven month old in the picture.  When she was younger I could just plop her in her bouncy seat and get things taken care of.  Now, she's crashing into my ankles when I'm doing the dishes, cruising through my little dirt pile when I'm sweeping and fussing when I'm trying to fold the laundry.  She's not happy to sit in her walker in the door way of the kitchen because she can't see me the whole time...and she can't cruise through the dirt! :)  She's a rambunctious one, for sure!

Tonight my Aunt is coming over to visit.  I'm so looking forward to having her over!  I know she's missing spending time with Lauryn so we really need to start getting together more often!

Last night, Kathye and I actually made more progress on "workout Wednesday" than ever!  We took a 45-ish minute walk and it felt so good!  The hill that goes back up to my house totally kicked my butt though.  Pushing the stroller up it was harder than I thought!  It was good though, to get out, get moving and get Lauryn and Cloz'r some fresh air.  Lauryn had no trouble falling asleep last night!
