Weekend In Review

Friday ~ We decided on Thursday that we were going to go camping over the weekend.  So after running to Grand Rapids to get my blood drawn to check if my hcg levels were getting lower (for the third week in a row), we came back at started packing the camper.  It didn't take too long because before we went the first time, I had stocked the camper with things that would stay in it.  All we had to get in there was clothes and food.  Lloyd was able to keep his afternoon free so he was home at 1:00 pm, packed up the grill and a few bigger things and we were off.  After we got set up, we threw on our swimsuits and went to the pool.  Lauryn had so much more fun this time and she was a lot more brave!  We had burgers and hot dogs on the grill with pasta salad and chips for dinner.  We went back to pool after our stomach's had settled.

Saturday ~ I made pancakes, fried potatoes and onions and smoky links for breakfast.  After we cleaned up, it was off to the pool again.  While we were down there, Cloz'r decided to eat a whole in to the wall of the camper. :(  She really didn't like being left behind!  A little later, we all went for a walk to check out some of the other campsites that were down by the river.  They were nice but I don't think I'd like to camp down there because I'm sure the mosquitos would be awful!  Lauryn took a little nap and then we had dinner.  Grilled bbq chicken breasts, potatoes and beans.  My brother, sister-in-law and their sweet little baby came for a visit after dinner.  At the end of the night, Lloyd and I enjoyed sitting by the fire, listening to some good music and talking.

Sunday ~ Lauryn slept in and after she finally woke up, we had scrambled eggs, potatoes and smoky links for breakfast.  We cleaned up and then Lloyd and Lauryn went to the pool while I started packing up the camper.  I took Cloz'r down to the pool and handed her off to Lloyd, so I could swim with Lauryn while Lloyd finished packing.  It didn't take us long at all to get everything ready to go or to unpack when we got home.  Lauryn took a nap, I took a shower and fell asleep on the couch while Lloyd was taking his.  We ordered pizza and breadsticks for dinner and then relaxed for the rest of the night.  Camping is very tiring :)
