Weekend In Review

Friday ~  Got up at 4:30 am to take mom to work then came home and got a little more sleep before Lauryn got up.  She and I had to go to Grand Rapids to get my blood taken, for the fifth week in a row, and we grabbed some lunch on the way back home.  Then it was off to Saranac to pick up mom from work.   After we dropped her off at home, we picked a few things up at the store and came home.  There was an ice cream truck coming down the street when we pulled in so I got Lauryn a Bugs Bunny ice cream bar.  She ate her dinner well and was a blue mess after finishing her dessert :) 

Saturday ~ Did a little cleaning in the morning, then Lauryn and I got ready for the day.  We ran to the store, got the car washed and then picked up my mom.  She was coming over to watch Lauryn so I could go to a movie and dinner with my bff, Kristin.  Lloyd was in Grand Rapids all day, redoing the surround in the bathroom.  I picked up Kristin and we headed to the movie.  We both had read, "The Help" and couldn't wait to see the movie!  We both liked it a lot!  We went to Applebee's for dinner and drinks and to catch up!  We talk on the phone often but we're both always being interrupted by our kids!  After I dropped her off, I got mom and took her home too. While I was waiting for Lloyd to get home, I looked for boys christening gifts online and did a little shopping :) 

Sunday ~ More cleaning in the morning!  I got the lasagna going in the crock pot and got ready for Lloyd's parents to come over.  We were celebrating Lloyd's dad's birthday.  His brother and his girlfriend came over too.  Our neighbor (from Grand Rapids) came too!  It was such a nice surprise because I haven't seen in him over a year and he'd never been to our house.  Cloz'r missed him a ton!  We visited, ate lasagna and breadsticks and then we all sang "Happy Birthday" to Lloyd's dad and Lauryn helped him blow out the candles.  While Carol and I were putting things away in the kitchen, Lauryn was outside trying to water my flowers.  Next thing  I knew, Big Lloyd was bringing Lauryn in because she got stung by a wasp!  My poor girls first sting!  Her hand puffed up and got red and she was very upset and scared.  After a while she fell asleep on me and I put her in bed for a bit.   She got up a little after everyone left and was upset for a bit but then we all relaxed and watched the Spongebob movie (ugh!).
