Friday ~ I picked Lauryn up from school and we stopped at the store on the way home. Then I cleaned a little before "Nana Friday." We had a nice visit with my mom and we had French bread pizzas, veggies and dip, and chips for dinner. Lauryn left with my mom to have a sleepover, and after I got Lucas in bed, Lloyd and I chilled and watched t.v. for a little while. Saturday ~ After my mom brought Lauryn home, we headed to a baby shower. She was thrilled because it was the first one she'd been to and she was excited to see her cousin. We went to Kristin's after that for Ross's Halloween party. While the kids played in their costumes, I got to visit with friends. It was nice because I don't see Kristin and Nikki nearly enough, and it's been ages since I've hung out with Becca and Sarah. After a couple of hours, Lauryn and I met up with Lloyd and Lucas, at his parent's house. They were hosting the first "Matherfest." Since it was getting late, we didn't stay long. We got home, got the kids ready for bed and then relaxed for the rest of the evening. Sunday ~ After making cinnamon rolls with caramel icing, ham and cheese omelets and smoky links for breakfast, we all got ready and went to pick up pumpkins. It was fun watching the kids pick theirs :) We stopped at the store to pick up a few things then came home. We cleaned and carved our pumpkins and then I got dinner ready. We had super yummy New York Strips and baked potatoes on the grill, and salad. We've had good steaks over the summer but this time, I used A-1's spice rub and they turned out fantastic! We gave Lucas some (his first time) and he loved it and kept asking for more. Then, same as every other night, we got the kids to bed and hung out. It was a great weekend!
