Paperwork, UGH!

Because of our last trip to the ER with Lucas, we've had to do quite a bit of paperwork to get the insurance claim taken care of.  We've never dealt with all of this before and it's getting a little frustrating.  We filled out the first papers that came in, faxed them back and figured that was that.  A week later, we get more paper work with questions that don't even apply to us.  After speaking with an agent in burlington nc, trying to find out why this claim is different and why we have to deal with all of this in the first place, I think (I HOPE!) we've gotten it all taken care of now.  Now if only I could get Lucas to promise me no more ER trips, not only to avoid paper work, but to avoid scaring his poor Mama and giving her more gray hair than she already has, that would be great! :P

Why Can't It Be Easier?

Insurance drives me crazy!  Just when you think you've got it all figured out, it changes!  Then you have to go through the process all over again, of checking out homeowners insurance quotes, life insurance quotes, etc. and once you get what's best for you, it changes again.  UGH!

Today was a little crazy in "Toddler Town."  The girls were having such a good afternoon and out of nowhere, Lauryn did something pretty naughty.  I know kids do stuff like that but I'm praying she learned her lesson today and knows that what she did was naughty and won't do it again.  I love my daughter more than anything in the world but with all the attitudes, throwing fits and general naughtiness, this is so not my favorite age!

Slacker!

This week I have been totally slacking on walking Cloz'r in the mornings.  I did so good for the first three weeks and then having a long weekend with Lloyd and Lauryn totally threw me off track!  Between not sleeping well because of the heat and just feeling tired in general, I haven't gone at all this week.  Time to get my butt back in gear.  Since I didn't go today, I'm going to do my fitness video.  Lauryn should get a kick out of that.  Nothing funnier than mama trying to keep up on the dance moves! :)

I have to say it's really a shame that insurance costs so much.  We finally got ours taken care of though.  When I was still working, I got it through work but since I'm a SAHM now and Lloyd is considered an independent contractor, we have to buy it.  Seems like there are a million places to get insurance quotes but you really have to do your research to find exactly what you're looking for at a reasonable price!

Crabby Pants!

I don't know what is up with Lauryn today but she has been a little crabby pants all day!  I'm thankful that it's the end of the night and she is in bed :)  Mama was about to pull her own hair out!

Got a few things done around the house today.  All of the laundry is caught up, I swept, dusted and vacuumed, put a million toys away and made braided pizza and salad for dinner.  Afterward, I did the dishes and went outside to water the garden and the flowers.  It's so nice to see everything still doing well and growing!

Lloyd and I were talking about insurance again the other day.  He decided to add disability insurance to our policy, just in case.  It's one of those things that you wonder "why am I paying for this?" but should anything happen, you'll be glad you had it!

Tomorrow I plan on doing a little birthday shopping.  My mom's birthday is Saturday and she'll be coming over for dinner Friday night.  I hope to find the things on my list :)

Ugh....Insurance

We recently found out that our insurance rates were going to sky rocket so we ended up switching to a different plan.  I understand that since Lloyd is a Realtor, he's considered an independent contractor and doesn't receive insurance through work but I wish there were more inexpensive options out there.  We looked into a few different plans and a health savings account and found what will work best for us.  I guess I should count my blessing that we can afford insurance.
