Sick, Again!

My poor girl!  She has a nasty cold again.  She's got a runny nose, a bad cough, she hasn't been sleeping well at all and until today, she was barely eating.  I really hope she starts feeling better soon because this has taken a lot out of her!  Also because we have a lot planned for this weekend and I want her to be able to enjoy herself!

Cold and Rainy Wednesday

Lauryn and I just got back from running to the store and it is not a pretty day out!  Unfortunately, we've probably seen the last of nice days for a while :(

Ugh!  I hate pimples!  I have one on the side of my nose, only it won't actually come up and it hurts bad!  I hate when that happens!  I guess I need to get out and find some kind of acne treatments and try to zap the bugger before it gets worse!

I have so much to catch up on from this weekend!  Our anniversary, Halloween and then yesterday was Lauryn's second birthday!  I need to get the pictures uploaded first :)

T-I-R-E-D!

Since I can't get over this darn cough, I haven't been sleeping well at all.  It's going on four weeks now and Lloyd has finally talked me into seeing the doctor.  I thought between the daily vitamin I take and the juicing with all the fruits and vegetables, I would be able to knock it out of my system but it just won't go away.  Ugh!

I've been looking in the hardware ads, to find things for my craft room (light fixtures, etc.) and got sidetracked by the kitchen items.  There is a really nice Moen kitchen faucet that I think would look great in my kitchen.  Unfortunately, ours isn't even two years old yet so I doubt we'll be replacing it any time soon!

I'm so looking forward to this weekend.  Saturday is our anniversary, so we're having a date night and then Sunday is Trick-or-Treating!!  I love taking Lauryn around to see our family and friends!  I can't wait! :)

It Got Worse :P

Well, my sore throat is gone...YAY...but now it's a whole yucky sinus thing...BOO!  The worst part of it all is that I can't kiss my sweet little girl because I'm afraid of passing it on to her.  I catch myself almost giving her kisses and then I realize I can't. :(  I think when she takes her nap, Mommy is going to take one too!  Luckily it's the weekend so Lloyd can help me take care of her while I try to kick this cold!

What Is With This Weather?

It is July 2nd and again I am cold!

Yesterday was busy!  Took mom to Saranac to pick up and cash her check, went to a couple of stores, then to Shane and Trisha's to pick up mom's old car battery, to the parts store to get the new battery, to BK to get lunch, home to eat it, Greenville to the Secretary of State, the dollar store and then back to Shane and Trisha's so Shane could put the new battery in her car.  We came back here afterwards and ate dinner and Kathye came over for "workout Wednesday."  We did workout a little but we were mostly impressed about our Raspberry Pucker smoothies!  I had told her about these smoothies I've been having for breakfast and how they were pretty yummy and of course, she said she didn't believe me (that's her way of telling people she wants to try it :) ) so I made some.  They turned out a little tart and she was saying that bananas would probably make them better.... that or rum!  I told her I had Raspberry pucker and that would compliment the berry mixture, so we tried it and it was pretty good!

Today I have tons of cleaning to do :(  I have about four loads of laundry, it's garbage day so I have to clean out the fridge and the litter and bag up the trash and the floors need vacuuming.

Lauryn is so close to crawling!  She doesn't do her wiggle back and forth on her tummy thing to get places any more.  Now she's using her hands and her knees and feet to get places.  She just hasn't completely figured out how to make them all work together :)  I'd say by next week she'll have it down!

I think I might make that ham dinner tonight.  And I want to find a good shortcake recipe.

Cold Morning!

I can't believe that we're at the end of June and I'm sitting here cold! Just doesn't seem right.

No big plans for today.  I have to go through my dresses to find one for a friends upcoming wedding, I want to dust the ceiling fans and the rest of the house, then comes vacuuming, a couple loads of laundry and I want to give the bathroom a good once over.

I'm trying to decide between a ham dinner tonight or a homemade pizza.  Both sound really good!  I made fresh strawberry bars last night.  I was too full from dinner to try them but Lloyd said they were really good.  The base is a peanut butter one and it's topped with strawberry jam and fresh strawberries.  I'm thinking it probably tastes like a pb & j dessert!
