What To Do?

As Lauryn pointed out this morning, "It's raining...All Over!" so today will probably consist of cleaning, cooking, crafting and maybe some hide and seek. :) As much as I love getting out, I don't mind rainy, stay-in-the-house days either. Maybe we can color some spring themed pictures to decorate the picture window. That's one of my favorite things to do on a rainy day!

I saw a friend on Facebook mention getting a hybrid car. That got me thinking about the pros and cons of having one. I started to a little online research and found an article about hybrid car insurance being so much cheaper! That's a big pro! The more I read though, the more I realized there just as many cons as there are pros. I think I'll stick with what I've got.

Cold and Rainy Wednesday

Lauryn and I just got back from running to the store and it is not a pretty day out!  Unfortunately, we've probably seen the last of nice days for a while :(

Ugh!  I hate pimples!  I have one on the side of my nose, only it won't actually come up and it hurts bad!  I hate when that happens!  I guess I need to get out and find some kind of acne treatments and try to zap the bugger before it gets worse!

I have so much to catch up on from this weekend!  Our anniversary, Halloween and then yesterday was Lauryn's second birthday!  I need to get the pictures uploaded first :)

Gloomy Day

It's rainy, gloomy and chilly.  Perfect day for laundry and cleaning!  I have quite a few things on my to-do list for today.  I made some banana bread (I'll post that recipe later), but I still have to dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, clean out the fridge, clean out the litter, empty all wastebaskets, check to see if we need new furnace filters and catch up on the laundry.  Just another fun Thursday at my house :P

It's Raining, It's Pouring

I love the rain!  I love big, loud thunderstorms and I love how the air smells after it has rained!  Whenever there's a storm coming, my mom talks about joint pain and feeling it in her bones.  I wonder how that works.  How does an oncoming storm make your body feel different?  Hmm, I may have to do some research :)  I hope the rain isn't preventing Lloyd from being able to finish what he needs to on the rental.

I think (and hope) that today will be a lazy day!  I'm still getting over this stupid cold and I'm tired from coughing all night and achy from working at the other house yesterday.  I would love to just chill with Lauryn, and Lloyd when he gets home, have a nice dinner and enjoy my family.

I Love Rainy Days

It's looking pretty dreary out there today.  I don't mind it one bit :)  It feels like a great day to stay in, play with my girl and work on the blanket I'm making for her.  It's getting pretty big now and I just love the colors.

Lauryn is getting a new tooth!  It's one of her top front teeth.  A few days ago, you could barely see it, now you can see that it's going to break through any time.  She's been a little fussy but not too bad.

Yesterday mom and I went shopping after she got out of work.  I was very happy because I found more of these kids wall decorations to put up in Lauryn's room.  They are pretty cute.  They're kind of like wallpaper pictures but they are incredibly easy to remove and re-stick anywhere.  I also found some cute trays and serving bowls and since they were on clearance because they were in the summer stuff, I paid .10 for one and .15 a piece for the other two...can't beat that!

I have no clue what to make for dinner tonight.  Lloyd won't be home until 7 pm so I whatever I end up making will be quick and easy.

The cat is laying in the chair next to me and she's snoring :)

Rainy Night

I love the rain!  It looked like it was going to storm a little while ago and there were thunder claps and lightning but sadly, it's stopped.  I love when it's raining hard when I'm going to bed!

Lauryn is getting the hang of waving.  She mostly waves at herself, which is adorable, but she's getting it.  I need to set an appointment for her 9 month check up soon.  I still can't believe she's 9 months already!  Seriously, where did the time go?

No big plans this week.  I'm going to my moms to pick up a couple of outfits she got for Lauryn and to trim her hair and then not too much going on until the weekend.  We're planning on having Lloyd's parents over for dinner to celebrate is dad's birthday.  Since it's going to be such an uneventful week I should be able to get a lot of things around this house done...we'll see though :)

The Saturday 9

Welcome to Saturday: 9 . What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: Rain

1. What do you typically like to do on a rainy day?

Watch a movie with my hubby or catch up on some cleaning.

2. Tell us about the last time you did something you later regretted, that you can share with us.

Last weekend I went to a "faux luau" and drank a little too much.  I regretted it because we had a family reunion to go to the next day and I felt a little rough.

3. I recently got an email from a lover from a very long time ago. I was asked "Have all your dreams come true?" If it were you and it was from someone you remember fondly, how would you answer the question?

I would simply say, "Yes!"

4. If you had a job interview and was asked, "If you were an animal, what kind would you be (other than human?)" How would you answer that question.

Probably a dog.  More specifically, my dog.  She's spoiled! :)

5. Do you think it is a good idea to share with a new lover stories of your past lovers?

Nope.  What's in the past should stay in the past.

6. When do you think it is permissible or even important to lie?

I totally believe that little white lies, the kind that spare someone's feelings, are okay.

7. What was the last thing you did that you never thought you would?

Well, it's been almost five years now but I truly never thought I'd be married.

8. What is one important lesson that you learned from your mother?

Don't sweat the small stuff.

9. What is one important lesson that you learned from your father?

This is a little harsh but don't do anything that will put you in prison for so long that you completely miss out on your family and childrens lives!

Today Was Fun

I went to my friend Kristin's parents house today to visit with her, her son, her mom, her nieces and later her sister.  I had been wanting to get Lauryn and her Kristin's youngest niece together because they are only about 3 weeks apart and they haven't been around each other since they were just a few months old.  It was fun watching them even though they didn't interact too much.  I can't wait to get some of the pictures that Nikki, Kristin's sister, took of the two of them.  It was so nice to get to visit with Kristin!  We don't get to spend nearly enough time together.

Had leftovers for dinner.  Lloyd was supposed to have two games tonight but they ended up being canceled because of the rain.  He's on his way home now.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow.  Lauryn and I are going to meet Lloyd in GR for lunch and then we're going to visit my aunt and old coworkers for a little bit.  I miss them tons!

Rain, Rain Go Away

I don't mind the rain but since I have to take Lauryn out with me to run errands, I wish it would stop.

I had such a  nice visit with my aunt and my cousins yesterday.  Poor Lauryn was pretty fussy from teething so she didn't enjoy the visit as much at first.  She played with my aunt on the floor though and it got better.

I decided to make spaghetti and meatballs tonight.  I was going to grill but if the weather stays like this, I don't really want to get soaked trying to make dinner.  The garage is full of drywall from the basement so we can't really pull the grill in there either.  It's been a while since I've made my homemade meatballs anyway and they sound really good!

We did find someone to come work on our pipes.  He should be here any time now.  We've worked with him before and he's really nice.  I'm still praying that it's not any worse than it already is!
