I just noticed that my last post, was my 600th! Woo-hoo! :)
I am so glad to see the sun shining! We don't have any big plans for the day but I think we're going to have to get out and soak up some of the sun....even if it is still chilly :)
I felt like such a terrible mama last night. I was trimming Cloz'r's nails, something I've done many times, and I managed to cut one too short. I cut the quick :( She didn't yelp but she jumped up and gave me the saddest look. She let me finish and then I tried using flour to stop the bleeding. Of course I gave her treats and lots of love afterwards and she seemed to forgive me but my stomach felt awful.
We got those dishes sold!! After talking to a few people about them, my hopes were pretty low on getting anything decent for them. There were quite a few that had chips or cracks. There were so many of them though that there would have still been a full set that was in great shape. We put a listing on craigslist and it only took three days for someone to contact us. The came to look at the dishes on Sunday and Lloyd negotiated the deal. We ended up getting more that we thought we would :) They packed up the dishes and got them out of here. I'm getting my bareMinerals make-up and getting my hair done this week. I'm not sure what else I'll do with the money yet. Maybe get some more craft materials.

Dishes, Dishes, Dishes
A while back, we bought a house to rehab and there were all kinds of "treasures" left in it. One of those treasures was a 104 piece set of dishes. They are ARISTOCRAT by Salem China Co. They have 23 karat gold around them and in the decoration. They have a beautiful flower print in them and they are maroon colored. If it weren't for the fact that I hate red and don't care for yellow gold, we'd keep them. I couldn't believe how many were there! There are:
15 dinner plates
15 salad plates
15 bread and butter plates
17 saucers
14 fruit/dessert bowls
14 teacups
2 large platters
2 small platters
3 soup bowls
2 cranberry bowls
1 casserole dish w/ lid
1 relish dish
1 creamer dish
1 sugar bowl with lid
and one extra cup that matches the handles of the cream and sugar dishes, which have handles a little different from the other teacups.
We hope to sell them and get a decent price for them but we've been told dishes are selling to well right now, so we'll see :)

Sleepy
Today was nice but felt incredibly long! Lauryn and I were up most of the night last night and even though I did fall asleep for a little while on the couch while she was taking a nap, I still felt whooped most of the day. I vacuumed, did the dishes and made dinner...that's about it! I used some of the roast I made for dinner yesterday to make shredded beef tacos. I just added some garlic and some cumin and they were really good! I made Mexican rice and of course, guacamole to go with it. It's been a few hours but I think I'm still stuffed.
I should really head to bed. Wish me luck that me and my sweet pea get a good nights sleep!

Not Much Going On
Today has been pretty uneventful so far. Just a little laundry and dishes from lunch to do. We're getting a dish put up so we'll have cable again. We haven't had it since we moved from Grand Rapids and even though it wasn't too bad going without it, I do miss a couple of shows and Lloyd dearly misses his sports :P
I made a ton of cheese manicotti Saturday and was planning on having some for dinner tonight but I think it's a little too warm to turn the oven on. I'll post the recipe on how to make the shells later. I'm going to grill a ham glazed with pineapple juice and brown sugar instead. I'm not sure what we'll have with it yet.
