My Arm Is Going To Fall Off!

I completely forgot about making a baby blanket for a friend who is due next month, so I have to bust butt and get one done ASAP!  I started it last night, had to make a few adjustments to the pattern and have been trying to work on it as much as possible.  The problem is, it's been a while since I've crocheted anything and my arm and wrist feel like they're about to fall off.

I made the yummiest enchiladas tonight.  Of course, I made guacamole too :)  I haven't made enchilada's in so long and they've been sounding so good.  They turned out great!

I had such a nice visit with Cary and her daughter yesterday.  I miss that girl!  It's always fun to catch up and gossip!  Makes me remember the "old days" when we hung out every single day!

Nothing major planned for tomorrow.  Mom has to work tomorrow and Saturday so she won't be coming over for dinner.  I do have to run to a couple of stores and I'm hoping to find more pants for Lauryn.  She has tons of tops and onesies but only one pair of shorts and a couple of skirts that fit her right now.  I can't believe that with all of the clothes we received at the showers, I'm having to buy more!  I didn't think that would happen for quite a while yet.

Well, I'm calling it an early night tonight.  I've been yawning for the last two hours and I'm hoping Lloyd has already fallen asleep so I can change the channel when I get in there :)  G'night to all!

Just Waiting

Today we're getting new doors put in on the front of the house and in the kitchen (that goes out to the back porch).  Now I'm just waiting for the guy to come and install it.

No big plans for today.  The house is pretty clean, no one is coming over and I just have to run to the bank and the store.

Making tacos and guacamole for dinner tonight :)

Lots To Do This Week

Last night I made a list of things I've been meaning to do around the house.  I usually make a list of things to do for the day but this time I made one for the week.  There are too many things to do in one day, especially trying to do them while taking care of Lauryn, so I figured I'd make one for the week and just make sure I cross a few things off every day.

I woke up with a headache this morning :(  I thought maybe I was just needing some coffee but that didn't help.  I tried to take a nap when Lauryn did but the neighbor started making this scraping sound just outside her window and it woke her up.  I couldn't get her back to sleep.  Usually she can sleep through pretty much anything but whatever that noise was, it was pretty loud.

I'm thinking about making that Tex-Mex dinner I posted about.  I have everything for it and it sounds pretty yummy.  I may have to run down to the store to get avocados for guacamole to go with it.  Looks like it's going to be a pretty gorgeous day today!

It's A Warm One

I'm glad it hasn't gotten too hot in this house today.  It's pretty hot outside and when Lauryn gets hot, she gets very cranky!  Not to mention she has a second tooth that's just starting to pop up and that doesn't make her a very happy baby either.  Lloyd mentioned looking at an air conditioner on his way home tonight.  I hope it's what he was looking for and he gets it!  It's supposed to be around 90 degrees on Wednesday so we could sure use it!

Tonight I'm making grilled bbq chicken breast, salad and guacamole for dinner.  I really didn't want to turn on the oven or use the stove so those things sounded pretty good.

Guacamole:

2 ripe avocados, pitted and diced

3 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

1/4 c. onion (more or less depending on your preference), diced

1 Tbsp sour cream

1 Tbsp minced garlic

1 Tbsp lime juice

Dash of black pepper

*Most guacamole recipes have tomatoes  but neither of us like them so I don't use them.*

Mash ingredients together with a potato masher and serve with chips.
